EV CHEVY 3100

The goal of Rovium is to deliver classic electric vehicles with all the comforts of modern cars. We are not a restoration shop. We use newly manufactured steel classic car bodies and couple them to our specialized EV chassis.

The 1951 Chevy prototype above is built from the ground up by Rovium. It features a Tesla Small Drive Unit producing 295 Hp and 31.2 kWH of batteries for 120 Mi of Range.

Using the lessoned learned from the first prototype, Rovium is introducing a Chevy 3100 with 495 Hp and 250 Miles of range. The truck is built around a Tesla Model 3 battery and driven by a Model S large drive unit.

Body

Start from scratch. No rust, perfect body lines. We make all our vehicles from a new Chevy 3100 steel body from Dynacorn.

Chassis

The chassis is what sets Rovium apart from other EV conversion companies. The entire chassis of the Chevy 3100 is designed around a Tesla Model 3 battery. The benefits of this approach are numerous including a low center of gravity for incredible handling and the reliability of a Tesla battery. The chassis is constructed entirely of steel and coated with a rust proof rubberized coating to ensure you are on the road for many years.

Battery

Tesla has undoubtedly created the most reliable and safest battery for the Model 3. Fortunately, a lot of Californians own Tesla Model 3’s, which means a lot get into accidents, making the batteries available for repurposing.

Every battery used by Rovium is certified to have less than 30,000 miles on it and passes numerous structural and electrical tests to ensure it is safe and reliable. While the battery will retain at least 70% of its capacity for 100,000 miles, replacements are also affordable ranging from $5000-$7500.

The battery boasts 82 kWh of capacity giving you 250 Mi of range. By simply installing a NEMA 15-40 outlet (washer dryer outlet) in your garage, you can charge at home getting the full 250 miles of range in 10 hours with the provided charger.

Motor

The powerhouse of the truck is a Tesla Model S Large Drive Unit (LDU) boasting 495 HP and 480 ft/lb of torque. This truck has some serious power and can accelerate from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. No transmission, no drive line, just power delivered directly to the wheels.

To make the motor work in a classic application, we developed a custom De-Dion style of axle. This axle mixes the classic look of a straight axle with geometry that accepts the Tesla Motor.

Front Suspension

Rovium is not here to reinvent the wheel. We use the rugged and proven Mustang II Independent Front Suspension (IFS) to make the best driving experience for the customer. This front end features modern geometry to safely navigate the road and air ride suspension for a smooth ride.

Mustang 2 IFS is known nationwide with service and parts available at nearly any automotive shop. While all bearings and bushings don’t require service for over 100,000 miles, you can find comfort in knowing you don’t need a specialty shop to keep your Truck on the road.
